All across the world we can find different currencies. The United Kingdom uses the Pound Sterling (£), the United States use the US Dollar ($) and Canada, Australia and New Zealand use their own Dollars. Australia was the first ever country to print on more durable and environmentaly friendly polymer. Canada and the UK quickly followed. The Americans still use their cotton blend bills.
On all Bank of England banknotes a portrait of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II can be found. In Scotland and Northern Ireland different banks are allowed to print their own notes, which do not picture her. Across the Commonwealth more portraits of Elizabeth II can be found (in Canada on the Can$20 and in Australia on the Aus$5).
Meanwhile in the US former presidents and founding fathers can be found on the bills.
